A special awareness session on “Good Touch and Bad Touch” was successfully conducted to guide students on personal body safety and boundaries. The session focused on helping children feel confident, safe, and aware of how to respond in different situations.
Main Highlights:
Students clearly understood the difference between good touch (a touch that feels safe, happy, and comfortable, like a hug from parents or a gentle pat from a teacher) and bad touch (a touch that feels scary, uncomfortable, or confusing).
They learned an important rule: Their body belongs to them. They also understood that private parts are the areas covered by underwear and that no one should touch them except parents while caring for them or a doctor during a check-up with a parent present.
Children were taught the 3 Safety Steps to follow in unsafe situations:
- Say NO
- Move Away
- Tell a Trusted Adult
Students participated with interest and shared their thoughts during the discussion. They confidently answered scenario-based questions that helped reinforce the topic.
Through role-play activities, children practised how to react firmly and wisely in unsafe situations.
They also recited the Safety Pledge with enthusiasm:
“My body belongs to me. I have the right to be safe. I am brave and strong.”
Conclusion:
The session was highly effective in creating awareness and building confidence among students. It equipped them with essential knowledge and self-protection skills, ensuring their safety and overall well-being.
