Awareness Session on the POCSO Act, 2012 and CHIRAG App

As part of our school’s ongoing commitment to ensuring child safety and protection, an informative session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the CHIRAG App was conducted during the Class Assembly of Std. VII B under the guidance of our respected Principal. The session aimed to raise awareness about children’s rights and empower students with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves from any form of abuse.

Students were introduced to the key features of the POCSO Act and the CHIRAG App, along with the procedure for reporting concerns, such as writing a letter to the Principal or teachers and dropping it in the Complaint Box.

The resource persons highlighted the importance of personal safety, body boundaries, and the courage to speak up when feeling uncomfortable or unsafe. Through interactive discussions, students were encouraged to express themselves freely and assured that their safety and well-being remain the school’s top priority.

The session proved to be both insightful and empowering, equipping students with essential knowledge about their rights and safety. Our school continues to uphold its dedication to fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child. By working hand in hand with parents, teachers, and the wider community, we strive to build a culture of awareness, responsibility, and prevention.
